(2.5 – 3 years)

Duration: 45 minutes

Now development is really bounding forward for many children. Their touch sensations are so well developed that nappies, if not out now, will be by 3 years of age.

Sessions at this age are geared for the development of sensory integration and consequent laterality. For this reason, a preferred hand/foot is now encouraged in all one hand/foot activities. For some children, this comes in the next year, but should be firmly established by pre-school.

For many, speech bounds forth also at this age. All areas where instructions are required, are increased in complexity to allow for the development of improved auditory and visual memory, imperative for ‘survival’ at school.
